After l had finished the large piece, Summer Dreams of India 1, l still had ideas left and didn't think my summer dreams of India were over. So my second dream was born.
I started by dyeing cotton with fabric inks, then threads, crushed beads and minute pieces of gold were bonded on. It was then cut apart and hand-made chunky paper and metal shim were applied, also textured foam. I then machined it and painted over with different paints and gold leaf many times. Beads were sewn on and painted and a thread tassel finished it. My summer dreams in India spent in England seemed worthwhile.
